Flat Curve Pavilion, Bexhill On Sea, UK

In a team of 4 people we designed a temporary pavilion that would sit next to the De La War Pavilion located at the south eastern coast of England. Our idea was to create a curved organic shape out of a flat and stiff material, that would be able to support it self standing up. We tried to achieve this with PVC & MDF, but finally chose plywood. We experimented with several cutting patterns to generate the strongest alternative, as well as designed all detail components.
